Kate Goffin
MACP (in progress), Clinical Intern
Kate is deeply respectful and relational in her work with human, equine and canine rehabilitation. For the past 18 years, Kate has lived in Whitehorse and the communities, most recently working with seniors/ Elders living in long-term care.
Growing up on the Welsh English border shaped her dedication to a decolonizing approach – one that gives priority to the ways of knowing and being of vital cultures.
She believes most people seek counselling because they want their life to be/feel better, and a belief that change is possible. She blends holistic and evidence-based approaches to resolving personal issues, trauma recovery, chronic stress and pain. Kate’s work is informed by emerging knowledge of the nervous system/ vagus nerve – that our bodies hold stories of safety and survival.
