Kat works collaboratively with her clients to help them identify and map out goals to improve relationships, to understand and manage mental health, and to optimize health. She is dedicated to developing person oriented, culturally sensitive and nonjudgemental working alliances.
Kat works with youth, adults, couples and families to support well being through attention to psychological, physical, social and emotional variables that influence how people are able to cope and manage.
Her theoretical approach is eclectic and person centred and her work with clients is influenced by culturally informed, attachment based, psychodynamic, bio-psychosocial, cognitive behavioural, solution focused and trauma informed practices.
Kat has completed a master’s degree in Anthropology through the University of Victoria, a B.Ed degree through the University of British Columbia, and a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. She is a registered provisional Psychologist with the Alberta College of Psychologists.
Kat is passionate about travel, outdoor experiences and time with family and friends. She is curious, enthusiastic about learning and supporting others to feel better.
Cheryl Maguire
C.C.C., RSW, Art Therapist
Cheryl is a Certified Canadian Counsellor, Registered Social Worker and Professional Art Therapist. She was born and raised in the Yukon and is a proud member of Tr’ondëk Hwëchin. She recently graduated from Adler University in the Master of Counselling Psychology – Art Therapy program and has an undergraduate degree in Social Work.
Cheryl has experience working with children, youth, adults and seniors dealing with various social issues. She takes a trauma-informed, person-centred, positive psychotherapy and holistic approach to help her clients reach counselling goals. Cheryl recognizes the importance of exploring and honouring an individuals’ interconnection to their family, community, and environment as fundamental to their well-being.
As a counselling art therapist, she sees art-making as a creative process that can lead to the expression of thoughts and feelings that may otherwise be difficult to communicate. Embarking on this journey can lead to problem-solving, insight, self-awareness, improved self-esteem, lower stress, and enhanced interpersonal skills.
Cheryl uses various art mediums such as acrylic, watercolour, pastel, charcoal, pencil, clay and traditional art forms such as beadwork and textile arts. She assists her clients to connect with their creative source, their potential and true nature, and through the process, improve their well-being emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
Kyla Vanstone

Kyla works with children, adults and couples and is a lifelong Northerner who has experience working throughout the North. She started her career immersed in land-based healing practices related to addiction recovery, and trauma.
Kyla assists clients in resourcing their physical strengths and returning to their body; as well as developing emotional awareness and communication skills.

Erin Light provides intentional and thoughtful support to individuals, couples, and families who desire psychological wellbeing as part of their healing journey. Her compassionate approach is rooted in the belief that each individual is doing their best with their existing strengths.
Erin is certified in Life and Health Coaching demonstrating a dedication to the health and helping profession. Erin has been a lifelong athlete in several sports, she now spends most of her time out in the wilderness skiing or mountain biking with her husband, three wild boys, and dog.
